Years1 and 2
Ages5 to 7 years

A well-structured programme, giving a thorough grounding in Mathematics, English and Science forms the core curriculum throughout Lower School. The syllabus has been developed to meet the needs of all pupils and reflects the requirements of the National Curriculum, offering a wide choice of subjects. History and Geography are taught through topic work. Religious Education, French, Music, Speech and Drama, Physical Education, Information and Communication Technology, Art, Design and Technology complete a wide and varied timetable.

Reading is one of the most important aspects of the curriculum in Years 1 and 2. Children read daily to a member of staff, either individually or through shared reading. A team of Classroom Assistants and part-time staff provide valuable learning support throughout the school.
