Ruckleigh School is seeking a responsible lunchtime supervisor to monitor the play and safety of pupils in the dining hall, playground and school premises.

The main responsibilities include:

  • To encourage and supervise constructive play on the playground and field.
  • To organise rotation of children to different play zones.
  • To ensure pupils play safely indoors during wet play.
  • To organise games and activities during wet play.
  • Take pupils outdoors to play if at all possible.
  • To uphold the school’s behaviour policy
  • To attend to minor accidents.
  • To refer children requiring First Aid to the appointed First Aiders
  • To promote positive behaviour.

Hours of work – 12 noon to 2.00pm Monday to Friday (term time only)

Starting: As soon as possible

Ruckleigh School is an independent co-educational preparatory school (ages 3 to 11) located in the centre of Solihull.

Ruckleigh is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Ruckleigh School invites applications for the post of Sports Coach, to plan and deliver weekly sports lessons, and organise games primarily for our girls.   

The purpose of this role is to further enhance the school's Games and Sports Teaching and allow all pupils access to and the ability to excel in the widest range of sports possible. We would like to recruit a qualified Games Coach who can demonstrate a successful track record in primary aged sport coaching.  The main sports being football, athletics, hockey, netball and cricket.

You will bring out the best in our pupils’ abilities through identifying areas for development and implementing appropriate tactics and strategies to release their full potential.  

This is a new post and an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic sports professional.

The hours are Thursday and Friday 10.00 am to 4.45pm. There will be occasional days where extended hours are required to respond to the needs of the school and to cover matches etc.
