Early Years Teachers

Mrs Coleman joined Ruckleigh School in January 2018 as the Kindergarten Teacher and Early Years Coordinator having taught since 2001 in both Solihull and Wiltshire. Mrs Coleman was the Early Years Coordinator in a local school raising the Ofsted standard in Early Years to Outstanding and she has taught across all classes in Early Years and Lower School. Mrs Coleman graduated from the University of Liverpool with a science degree and, prior to teaching, worked as a Business Development Manager in WH Smith. Mrs Coleman completed a Diploma in Business Studies before retraining as a teacher at the University of Bath with an Early Years specialism.

Mrs Freeth is an experienced Teaching Assisant who joined Ruckleigh School as an Early Years Practitioner in 2001. Prior to joining Ruckleigh Mrs Freeth spent 7 years in North Solihull working as both a Teaching Assistant and Specialist Support Assistant across all Key stages in Primary Education. Mrs Freeth holds a Specialist Teaching Assistant (STA) qualification gained through Worcester University.

Miss Lutwyche came to Ruckleigh School in 2012 with Early Years Professional Status and NCFE Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications. Having previously worked as a early years practitioner for 4 years at St Andrews RC Primary School where she supported children in the early years. Miss Lutwyche comes from a fine art background with a First Class Degree in Design she worked as a freelance designer and community artist prior to her teaching career.

Mrs Sayer joined Ruckleigh School in September 2019 as the Nursery Teacher having taught since 2010 across Solihull and Birmingham. Mrs Sayer is passionate about Early Years and has 9 years’ teaching experience in both Nursery and Reception settings. Mrs Sayer graduated from Aberystwyth University with a Drama degree before studying for her Post Graduate Certificate in Education with an Early Years specialism. Mrs Sayer also gained a Psychology Masters degree from the University of Chester in 2015.

Miss Ashmore attended University College Birmingham to complete her Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education. She also achieved her Level 1 and 2 in NCFE Creative Craft. Miss Ashmore is a former pupil of the School.
