Kindergarten
It’s a landmark moment for most parents when they see their child in school uniform and entering Kindergarten’s doors for the first time.
Continuing to follow the Seven Areas of Learning criteria, Kindergarten’s pupils are introduced to a more structured full-day of formal education, mixed with free-play that is aimed at extending knowledge, understanding and self confidence. Lessons take place individually or in small groups and are focussed upon hands-on experience, worksheets and opportunities to work on the classroom’s interactive touchscreen.
Outdoor play and exploration are encouraged with children participating in weekly PE lessons where they are introduced to the concept of competitive team games together with the importance of gamesmanship.
Kindergarten’s pupils are very much part of the wider school community and participate in all key events such as the School Nativity, Carol Service, Harvest Festival and Sports Day.
